we got a letter in the mail about a scavenger hunt for
first time home buyers on Saturday?

that Fez and I decided, "eh, why not",
So we went.?

we 'won' said scavenger hunt
which ended up not being a race at all?
(Really need to clarify the rules)

Remember the time...
we got a $10 gas card for driving around the valley
and a movie gift card for answering a question right?

Remember the time...
the grand prize in the drawing was a trip to Hawaii?

Remember the time...
THAT WE WON?!?!?!

Yeah.
That's right.
There may have only been 5 couples there,
but WE WON!

A couple things...

Inside my brain is a hurricane.
Blowing furiously and constantly.
It's been this way since Monday when
my cute, wonderful, partner-in-crime at work
QUIT.
:(I am super excited for her new position, but not so excited
about all the things she left me to do.
I work at a non-profit called Mentors International
LOVE IT.
Our annual gala is coming up and will be a spectacular night.
But I get to plan it.
ALL OF IT.
At least that's how I feel right now.
Need a job for 2 months?
Let me know.

and I couldn't be more thrilled.
Where in the world will Tyler serve his mission?
I'm putting bets on England South or Texas.

Back to School

With everyone talking about going back to school this week
I am grateful that I am not.

No more of this...

(not that I did that ever...)

But since everyone is going back to school and I'm not
that also means no more of this...It was weird coming home to an empty apartment.
I will miss him.
But I am glad he is getting an education.
One that he loves.
It's only for a short time so until then
good luck honey!
You will do great in school and I can't wait to see you
when you come home each day!

Last night Fez and I hopped on trax and
headed to the Gallivan Twilight Concert Series.
Iron and Wine was performing.
We pretty much love him.
I had a horrible time taking pictures
so here is one.
Fez had his nice camera with him and got some good shots
but I knew if I waited to post this until I got some of them,
I wouldn't post it for a month.

Demolition Derby!

I went to my first ever

Demolition Derby.
So. Fun.
Never thought I'd get a thrill out of
watching people smash cars into each other.
But I did.
Can't wait for the next one!

Dear nice lady,

Thank you for stopping into our office today to let us know that there was a Toyota Camry that had been running for 45 minutes in the parking lot while you got your windshield fixed. That was so kind of you to go out of your way and let any associates know, in case it was their vehicle.

Although I feel like an idiot right now, because it surely was my vehicle, I am grateful. And even more grateful that I'm at least not a giant idiot and didn't lock the doors so I could get in, turn the car off, and retrieve the keys.
