Geocaching!

The very first night Fez and I hung out he introduced geocaching to me. I had NO idea what it was. For those of you that were like me geocaching is when you take a GPS, some coordinates of a location, and once you reach the location you look for a small box or can full of little treasures.

We have been wanting to go ever since we started dating but you need a GPS that will get you there.
Enter Christmas gift - GPS.
He's been dying to go ever since recieving it and Friday night we finally did. I'm a bit of a pansy when it comes to cold weather so I needed good clothing.

Enter Christmas gifts - coat and gloves.
Finally we were ready and headed out to Wheeler Farm. We parked and walked toward the park entrance and Fez said we were 1 foot away with a 14 foot radius accuracy.

Huh? Really?

We did not expect it to be right at the entrance but we started to fumble through the snow and leaves. We searched for about 15 minutes, unsure if we had gotten the coordinates right. It was nowhere to be found and just seemed weird this was the right spot. We decided to come back and try a different one before calling it a night.

Behind a hotel that is by our house there was one that was supposed to be in the trees. We'd looked for it about 2 months before but only looked on the ground. We started walking around the trees when I saw something zip tied to a tree. It kinda looked like some electrical device, but that didn't make sense. That would not be connected to a tree. And then I realized, I'd found it!!! Yay! I found my first geocache! It wasn't very hard but still, I had succeeded.

The zip lock bag had note cards where you write you name and date and a bunch of little trinkets. They actually were really nasty and I was afraid to touch them because I didn't want to get infected with some sort of disease. But it was cool anyway.

We found out the trick to the Wheeler Farm geocache and are going to go back and try it again.
Anyone want to join us???
